Janet Salmons, PhD is a free-range scholar, writer, and artist. She is a Research Fellow at the Center for Advanced Internet Studies, with a 2026 project “Humanizing Online Research.”  Janet has written 12 books, with more on the way. She edits two newsletters, When the Field is Online”  about qualitative research and “Reimagine Research” about scholars in transition. She is an honorary member of the TAA Council of Fellows (2019) and received the Mike Keedy Award (2018) in recognition of enduring service to authors.
