Janet Salmons, PhD is the author of 12 books about online research and education. Her latest book is Doing Qualitative Research Online (2022). She is currently working on a multimedia e-book and launching a monthly newsletter, “When the Field is Online."
Previous experience includes managing Sage Methodspace, a blog for researchers and academic writers, and over 20 years of experience in higher education, curriculum development, instruction, and doctoral student supervision. She is an honorary member of the TAA Council of Fellows (2019) and received the Mike Keedy Award (2018) in recognition of enduring service to authors. She lives and works in Boulder, Colorado.

Melissa Patrick is a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) practitioner and works with organizations that strive for workplaces and learning spaces that are psychologically safe, equitable, and improve individual and organizational performance. She joined Pearson Publishing in August 2021. At Pearson Melissa directs the DE&I Content QA & Services team in Higher Ed where she oversees its DE&I Content Review Program. In addition, she consults, trains, and advises business units throughout the division - from sales and marketing to product teams - on DE&I content related matters. She is the mother of three young adults, a pet mom to 3 cats, and lives in Massachusetts.
